I've stated before that in general I think Gevlon 's quest is questionable, and in particular his obsession with RvB is misguided.
However, if you do want to support it, I urge everyone to put bounties on RvB members! :) I can guaranty the isk will do great good! |

What am I, chopped liver? :P
I was thinking about this. We know that Marmite frequently declared war vs the CFC in the past. The only difference now is that they do it all the time, and it's free since someone is paying for them.
So... what are they doing with the extra money? Knowing Tora, he's not going to spend it on quafe and exotic dancers. No, he's using the money he used to spend on goons wardecs on *other* wardecs. Wardecs on enemies of the CFC. Wardecs on small high-sec industrial corps.
Ironically, the high-sec grr goons crowd is one that often has to deal with Marmite attacks! Thank you Gevlon for making things for high-sec industrialists worse. |

I'm intrigued... Please do share |

Erotica 1's prediction came true - sort of. Based on his last blog entry, people are apparently donating billions to him. There is even a list.
I'll remind our readers that putting bounties on RvB members is very effective. |

However when the goon slaves finally realise they been taken for a ride and decide that defending goon assets wasn't the greatest idea they may want to join a truly 'highsec' organisation such as the Lemminings. The departing RvB members should not be burdened with bounties.
Btw dispite Louis' glowing endorsement of Erotica 1 I would advise caution to the RvB members who take advantage of Erotica's isk doubling. Perhaps I should let Louis explain how goons are not to be trusted or perhaps he has some form of referral fee going on?
RvB members have a super secret way of dealing with bounties! I would tell you but I won't because you are a"insert grr goon appropriate insult here".
I will note that my post merely pointed out that Erotica1's prediction seemed to be coming true. Any endorsement of any isk doubling service is your idea, not mine . |

"total faith"?
You really enjoy pretending that others said things that you imagined don't you? A new use of the sandbox I suppose.
@General Lemmings: I don't think such raids will cause real damage... But still sounds a lot more fun, ballsy and *satisfying * than shooting pocos. Good luck! |

Professor Clio wrote:Gevlon has wardecced Reds... couple weeks ago he said we were the only thing keeping him from achieving victory now he wants to force us back into the war? I think he's finally completely lost it.
Also it appears he's not aware that we can use corp standings to ensure that blue pilots know when a lemmings is on grid attacking a red.
I think he's trying to move the goalpost / change the narrative.
We allied on the war but the ally dropped after a while, as it happens automatically. This happened several days ago. One would have think that without us, the goon POCOs would have been promptly burned to the ground.
Yet, *somehow* this didn't happen. Somehow the goons were able to defend their own POCOs by their lonesome! How could this possibly happen? Gevlon's story doesn't make sense anymore... so now RvB is not an obstacle anymore, we are an *excuse* for failure! So he has to wardec us again so his story still holds together.
Seriously folks, if you want to fight, if you feel GRR Goons... go join BNI. They just deployed in Derelik to attack RUS in support of N3. You'll do far more to harm the goons there than you do in the lemmings. |

Indeed Clio, Indeed!
Thanks to NO-HO for being cool about this :)
And thanks to Gevlon for making us realize we are cowards! Sheesh, if you hadn't brought us to our senses, we might have done something stupid like going into a wormhole to attack our enemies and get a good fight with a t3 wormhole fleet just for fun. |

We were just on the way back from the POCO op when we saw the lemming fleet - we just had to regroup and give them a bit of a kick in the shins.
A thread or three ago, I mentioned how Gevlon really flubbed the diplomatic angle with his anti-RvB rants. He commented on this that since diplomacy wasn't going to make us give up the mutual defence agreement, there was no point in being diplomatic. He continued in being, well, anti-diplomatic.
But here we see the failure of anti-diplomacy. Had Gevlon been more civil, RvB wouldn't have bothered finding and destroying his little WH industry. It's one thing forming a fleet and moving a few jumps in high sec to defend a poco. It's another sending multiple fleets dozens of jumps to a WH with a large t3 fleet inside of unknown disposition.
I know Gevlon, you will say that we did this because we are such good little goon pets. No. Mittens didn't motivate this. *You* did. You brought this upon yourself.
... and in a way, you've just become what you wanted all along, "relevant". You've become a conflict driver. Congrats, I suppose? |

More blog posts with more nasty surprises. And since he will have more time on his hands to make isk, more isk will transfer out of Gevlon's wallet. But the question remains: does one man have enough isk to affect the gameplay (defeat) of 18,000 real people? I believe the presentation by Sion at EVE Down Under put the CFC numbers at around 18k real people and 36k characters. Can one man defeat so many in a video game? And should he be able to? Or is he just a laughing stock and delusional? The premise of your questions is that one man can, through the application of his isk, bring about the defeat of a group of arbitrary size. Supposing that is true, it is then reasonable to conclude that the opposite is true - that in the very narrowest of cases, another individual could utilize his own isk to block or prevent the defeat of that same group. In that case, Gevlon's goal is clearly doomed, as I alone am several times wealthier than him. So are my fellow directors of finance. So are many other goons, and the number at least as wealthy as him is even larger still.
I usually find "look how big my wallet is!!" posts to be a tad crass, but in this case it is eminently relevant. Amusingly enough, it's also an argument that he could understand.
Maybe he's going to have to spend the next few years making more isk :D |
